DORIS NEUFELD

Doris Neufeld died June 8. She was born Apr. 10, 1915 in Saskatoon, Sask. Chosen by Bernhard and Susanna Fast, she grew up on a grain farm that was located between Langham and Dalmeny, Sask. The family moved to Hepburn, Sask., where Doris attended high school and Bible school, and was baptized. On July 29, 1938, she married Peter Neufeld and they moved to Watrous, Sask. to a grain farm. Their son Gordon was born in 1941, and a chosen daughter, Joan, was born in 1952. Doris was a woman of strong faith. She had many talents, such as baking, sewing, knitting, and making children's clothes and baby blankets. She also enjoyed reciting Bible verses and writing poetry. She is mourned by son Gordon (Erna); 3 grandchildren; 1 great-grandson. The memorial service was June 12 at Cornerstone Community Church, Virgil, Ont.
