RUDY FAST

Rudy Fast died peacefully Feb. 25, on his 46th wedding anniversary. He was born July 20,1932 in Winnipeg, Man. The loss of his parents during his childhood profoundly affected him during his youth. Rudy became a teacher. He loved his students, and was both mentor and teacher to them. In 1961, he married Adelheid Martens. In 1964, he was baptized upon confession of his faith at North Kildonan MB Church, Winnipeg. Rudy retired after 30 years teaching, but continued giving driving instruction in the R. Fast School of Driving. He enjoyed cars and sports, served many years in the diaconate, and was a devoted and loving father and grandfather. He is mourned by Adelheid; son Rudie F.; daughters Carla Janzen (Rheal Landry); Marlene Penner (Charles); Verena Betzing (Uwe); 10 grandchildren; 5 siblings. The funeral was Mar. 1 at North Kildonan MB Church.
