MARY FLORENCE PETERS

Mary Peters died peacefully May 4, age 90. She was born Oct. 25, 1916 in Stepanowka, Russia, to Heinrich and Aganetha Brucks. She accepted Jesus Christ as Saviour in her early years . The family immigrated to Canada in 1926. Mary was baptized in Coaldale, Alta. in 1931. She took teacher training and taught for 3 years. On Aug. 8, 1954, she married Jacob Peters. They lived various places, following Jacob's teaching career, but by 1960 had settled in Clearbrook, B.C. where they joined the Clearbrook MB Church. Mary loved to sing with her family and served the church in choirs and Sunday school. She walked daily, never ceased praying, and loved Psalm 23. She is mourned by Jacob; children Joyce (Gerald) Loeppky, Henry (Karen), Don (Madoka), Dave (Connie), Laurie, Ken (Melinda); 16 grandchildren. The celebration of life service was May 10 at Clearbrook MB Church, Abbotsford.
