MRS. LIESE BOSCHMAN

Liese Boschman of Yarrow, B.C. passed away on February 20. She was born into the John Klassen family in southern Russia in 1901. In her teens she sensed the need to invite Jesus into her heart. On April 17, 1922 she married Nicholas Boschman. In October 1926 they left Russia, with a three-year-old son, and arrived in Rosthern, Sask. A year later they moved to Whitewater, Man., and joined the Men- nonite Brethren Church. In 1932 they moved to Yarrow, where they were ordained to the diaconal ministry in the Yarrow MB Church on August 21, 1947. Her hus- band passed away in May 1971. The children write, "Mother ... never permitted harsh words to cross her lips. She was always warm and tender in her ministry of encouragement." She is survived by one son, one daughter and their spouses: Rudy and Anne Boschman of Abbotsford, B.C., and Anne and Henry Koop.
