ELIZABETH NEUFELD

Elizabeth Neufeld (nee Berg) died Aug 7. She was born July 23, 1913 in Blumenort, Ukraine. She was married to Jacob Neufeld and was widowed at an early age. In 1948, Elizabeth emigrated from Germany to Canada, settling in Swift Current, Sask. She lived on a farm with the C.K. Epp family for one year and took care of her widowed brother's children, then went to work at the Swift Current Union Hospital. She joined Bridgeway Community Church, where she attended faithfully and made many friends. Elizabeth was always aware of God's presence She was a generous and caring aunt who helped her family whenever she could. She is mourned by sister Mary; nephew Hank Dueck; niece Mary-Anne (Leo) Oberdorfer; 5 great-nieces and nephews. The funeral was Aug. 15 at Bridgeway Church, Swift Current.
