SELMA SIEBERT

Selma Siebert died

Feb. 13. She was born Apr. 21, 1929 in laird, Sask. to John and Katherine Siebert. In May 1940, the family moved to B.C. and set- tled in the Chilliwack area. At school, Selma excelled in secretarial _<&-_--1 and sewing classes. She was baptized June 1, 1947, joining the Greendale MB Church. After graduation, Sel- ma moved to Vancouver where she worked in a bank, then became receptionist for an ophthalmologist. In 1949, Selma began a 35-year career as a medical office assistant for Dr. Miller, who often referred to her as his "right hand man." She was a member of Fraserview MB Church, Richmond, B. C. where she sang in the choir and worked in the library. She loved singing, reading, knit- ting, collecting stamps, and taking short trips with her friends. She also loved to "pull things together" for family weddings. After retiring in 1985, she moved to a care home. Predeceased by 1 brother; she is mourned by brother John (Rose); sister Frieda (Peter) Nickel; nieces, nephews and their families. The memorial service was Feb. 25 at Green- dale MB Church.
