. . .

Funeral services for Dan B. Ratzlaff, 79, were held on Mar. 15, with Rev. S. H. Epp and Rev. Frank Huebert of Meade, Kan. officiating. He died at the Fairview Hospital on Mar. 12. He had suffered a stroke a couple of years ago and since then his condition remained such that he and Mrs. Ratzlaff spent most of the time at the Fairview Fellowship Home. A life that began in a sod house could enter the glories of Heaven and into the presence of the Lord. Surviving are his wife, Amanda, of the home; the children, Alvin and Elvera Ratzlaff, Dolores and Wesley Kroeker and their families; his stepmother, Mrs. Adam Ratzlaff; eight sisters and five brothers. Among those from a distance who attended the funeral was Mrs. Clara Durbon of Victoria, Tex., who stayed to visit relatives here. Another sister, Mrs. Marie Miller of Oklahoma city, had come earlier to be with Mrs. Ratzlaff. She was a much appreciated helper in the time of need.
