JAKE TEICHROB

Jake Teichrob died Aug. 19 after a battle with Huntington's disease . He was bom Jan. 5, 1929 in Morden, Man. to David and Mary Te- ichrob. At 10, Jake initi- ated his life of faith, making a personal com- mitment to Christ. His --- ----- family moved to Ab- botsford in 1945. At 20, Jake met his soulmate, Tena Klassen , and they were married 3 years later. Jake was a deacon at East Chilliwack MB Church, a Boys Brigade leader and a volunteer with M2 Prison Ministries . He shared every- thing he owned, such as vehicles, gasoline and farm equipment, with anyone who happened upon his doorstep. After Tena's death in 1993, he once again found companionship and mar- ried lina Funk. Jake will be remembered for his great sense of humour and patience. Prede- ceased by Tena; 2 brothers; 1 sister; he is moumed by lina; children Gary (Elaine), Janice (Angus) MacKay, Elaine Oeff) Cooper and lim Ooanne); 8 grandchildren; 2 brothers. The memorial service was Aug. 24 at Central Heights MB Church, Abbotsford.
