John P. Friesen, 82, died on Jan. 13, 1975 at Grace Hospital, Winnipeg. He was born in Steinbach, where he received his elementary education, and then enrolled in the M.C.L., Gretna, Man. In 1911 he joined the Bank of Montreal in which he held various positions until his retirement in 1955. He then took up residence at Oakview Place, Winnipeg. He was employed in a New York City bank for a number of years. Funeral services took place at the Bergthaler Mennonite Church in Steinbach on Jan. 18.
