Retired Farmer, Businessman Dies

Archbold, Ohio. — Landon J. Pletcher, 92, retired farmer and businessman, died Jan. 6 at a Napoleon nursing home where he had received care after suffering a stroke in November 1974.

Born in Elkhart County, Indiana,Mr. Pletcher farmed there and from 1933 to 1948 owned and operated Pletcher's Dairy in Middlebury. He was a member of the board of Mennonite Mutual Aid for 33 years and served as vice president for 30 years. He moved from Middlebury to Pettisville, O. 16 years ago.

Mr. Pletcher was a member of the Central Mennonite church near here. A service was held at Short Funeral Home, with final services on Jan. 9 at the Shore Mennonite Church in Indiana.
