KATHERINE MARTENS-HARDER

Katherine Martens- Harder died Aug . 10. She was born July 19, 1910 to Johann and Katharine Goerzen in Blumenort, Ukraine. She married Jake Warkentin Oct. 18, 1930. They fled to Ger- many. Jake was killed in '-=-~~......... the war. She married Abram Martens. In 1948 they immigrated to Coaldale, Alta. In 1986 Abram died. In the 1990s she moved to Sunny South Villa, Coal- dale. She married Jake Harder. He died a year later. Her faith in the lord, her opt imistic na - ture and hard work ethic sustained her throughout her life. Predeceased by Jake Warkentin, Abram Martens and Jake Harder, daughter Agnes, 1 sister and 2 brothers, she is mourned by sons Jake of California, John of lethbridge, Alta.; daughters Katheri ne Bartel and Betty Sznerch of lethbridge, Mary Quapp of Calgary; 18 grandchildren; 23 great-grand- children; 3 sisters. The funeral was in Coaldale MB Church with Lorne Willms and Rudy Heidebrecht ministering.
