Former Agriculture Dept. Official Dies

Goshen, Ind. — J. Roy Allgyer, 84, who served for many years with the Department of Agriculture in Washington, D. C., died Nov. 12 at the Greencroft Nursing Center here.

A son of the late Bishop and Mrs. S. E. Allgyer of West Liberty, Ohio, Mr. Allgyer returned to West Liberty upon completion of his service in Washington. For 18 years he was executive director of the Independent Livestock Producers Assn. at West Liberty.

Mr. Allgyer and his wife, the former Ann Reisner, moved to Greencroft Manor here last May.

A prayer service was held at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home here on Nov. 13, after which the body was sent to West Liberty for funeral services and burial on Nov. 14.
