MRS. ARTHUR V. REGIER

Elva Dyck Regier, daughter of Peter J. and Marie (Reimer) Dyck, was born on May 19, 1915 in the Buhler, Kan. community. She died on March 19, 1974 at the McPherson Memorial Hospital only four days after her first heart attack.

Elva spent most of her lifetime in the Buhler-Inman community and attended Buhler grade and high schools. She attended Bethel College at North Newton for one year and then served two years there as a cook.

She was baptized and received into the Buhler Mennonite Church on June 5, 1932.

On May 21, 1966, she was married to Arthur V. Regier of McPherson at the Hoffnungsau Mennonite Church by Rev. Harold V. Thieszen. A year later, she was received into the Hoffnungsau Mennonite Church. She was an active participant in her Sunday school class and was a member of the Happy Hour Circle.

Elva was employed at Wiley's Tea Room, Hutchinson, for many years before her marriage to Art. In recent years and at the time of her death, she was employed at the Hillcrest School, Inman District. Elva had a great love for children and was able to share this love with the school children there.

She is survived by her husband; a step-son, Loren Regier and wife, Carolyn of McPherson; two grandchildren, and one brother, Arnold J. Dyck, of Hutchinson.

Services were conducted at the Hoffnungsau Mennonite Church by Rev. Frank Keller on March 22, 1974 at 10 a.m. Interment was made at the Hoffnungsau Cemetery.
