Death Claims Pioneer Of Peace River Area

Clearbrook, B. C. — Funeral services were held here recently for Henry H. Nickel, 87, a berry farmer and resident here since 1945.

Before coming here Mr. Nickel was a resident of the Clairmont area near Bear Lake in the Peace River Country of Alberta. He, his parents, a brother and four sisters, originally of Lehigh, Kan., were members of a Krimmer Mennonite Brethren group which pioneered in the Clairmont region during World War I and the early 1920s. The Nickel family moved there in 1921.

Mr. Nickel is survived by his wife, Anna, and four sisters.
