Loewen

Hilda Loewen died Apr. 27. She was born Aug . 28, 1919 near Men- non, Sask . to Peter and Margaretha Quiring. She married Peter Loewen June 3, 1945 in Dalmeny, Sask. They farmed north of Dal- meny, moving to town <-..;......"'-'-':......-._-Z...,... in 1978. She worked at the craft department in Dalmeny Nursing Home. She enjoyed family holiday meals and making specialties for her family. Eating out and watching Jeopardy were favourite activ- ities. After retirement they went on numer- ous bus tours. She was known for her sewing, quilting, knitting and crocheting. She quilted blankets for MCC, taught Awana and Sunday school, and always had a large garden. Predeceased by 1 sister and 2 broth- ers, she is mourned by Peter; daughters Nor- ma Doell, Ruth Pilot, Carolyn Bray; son Vic; 8 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; 1 sister; 2 brothers.
