Death Claims Retired Banker at Freeman

Freeman, S. D. — Funeral services for Adolph J. Waltner, 84, retired banker of this community, were held on Jan. 31 at the Salem Mennonite Church, with Rev. Virgil Gerig officiating. He died at the Freeman Hospital on Jan. 28.

Mr. Waltner grew up on a farm here and entered the banking business of his father, John J. Waltner. He was associated with the First National Bank of Freeman for 47 years, retiring in 1968.
