• Funeral services for Peter U. Hirschler, 88, were held Feb. 13 at an Emporia mortuary. A retired Santa Fe Railroad employee and former resident of Emporia, he died Feb. 10 in Dallas, Texas where he made his home with his daughter, Mrs. Ray Barnes. Other survivors include a son, Bob, of Newton, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and brothers and sisters, all of whom attended the funeral except a sister, Mrs. H. R. Voth of Wichita. Sisters living here are Mrs. J. C. Dester and Mrs. A. J. Brubacher. The parents of this family were Rev. and Mrs. C. E. Hirschler, formerly of Moundridge and later of Hanston, where Rev. Hirschler served the Mennonite congregation.
