HERMAN A. GOERING

Herman A. Goering was born on Dec. 28, 1903 to Andrew J. and Carolina (Waltner) Goering.

He received his elementary education in a school near Moundridge, Kan. As long as his health permitted, he attended church services regularly. He was baptized on June 3, 1923 by Rev. C. J. Goering and received into the fellowship of the Eden Mennonite Church near Moundridge.

He was always willing to help whenever and wherever he could. As long as his eyesight permitted, he read his Bible faithfully. He was interested in the welfare of his brothers and sisters, nieces and nephews, and showered them with many deeds of kindness.

For some time his health had been failing. On Jan. 13, 1974 he entered the Mercy Hospital where he was given the best of medical care. He quietly passed away Thursday morning, Jan. 17, 1974.

He leaves to mourn his departure two brothers, Menno of the home and Dan and wife Erma of rural McPherson; two sisters, Clara of the home and Ena and husband Nathan Klaassen of rural Burrton; a sister-in-law, Carrie, of North Newton; eight nieces, six nephews, five great-nieces, eight great-nephews. His parents, four brothers and one sister preceded him in death.
