PETER HILDEBRAND

Peter Hildebrand died Mar. 27. He was born Dec. 11, 1914 to Henry and Elizabeth Hildebrand in Siberia, Russia. In 1926 the family immigrated to Brookdale, Man. He married Martha Wiens in 1943. In 1948 they moved to Port Rowan, Ont. Martha died in Aug. 1949. He married Susan Neu- mann in 1950. He ran a mixed farm to- gether with his brother Jake . He was an usher in Port Rowan MB Church and en- joyed making people feel welcome. He ex- emplified integrity, generosity and a strong work ethic to his children. His con- sistent faith sustained him in difficult times. They retired from farming in 1978, moving to Messiah's Corner, and in 1997 to Tabor Manor in St. Catharines. Prede- ceased by Martha and 1 sister, he is mourned by Susan; sons Peter, Paul, John; daughters Ruth Teigrob and Doreen Toews; 10 grandchildren; 4 great-grand- children; 2 sisters ; 2 brothers. The funeral was Apr. 1 in Port Rowan MB Church with Sandy Young and Waldo Pauls ministering.
