ERNA PETERS

Erna Peters died Oct. 28. She was born Jan. 24, 1913 in Halbstadt, Russia. At age 11, she came to Canada with part of her family. She sewed blankets for MCC and Barbie doll clothes for the MCC Thrift Shop. She also made kitchen towels, the proceeds of which were donated to a girls' orphanage in China. She enjoyed telling stories about her life. The funeral was Nov. 3 in Kelowna, B.C.
