The father of Rev. Willard Shertzer died at his home in Pennsylvania on Nov. 2 following a long illness. Amos W. Shertzer, 56, had been pastor of the Bethel Mennonite Church, Biglerville, Pa., for the past seven years. Survivors include his wife, Ethel; two sons, three daughters, and eight grandchildren. Private burial took place in Mellinger's Mennonite Church Cemetery, Lancaster, Pa., on Nov. 4. Several of his children and members of the congregation spoke in the memorial services at the Bethel Church on Nov. 5, at which James Shank and Nelson Martin officiated.
