LUISE MARTENS
Luise Martens died Nov. 5. She was born Dec. 11, 1918 near Omsk, Russia to Peter and Susanna Rahn . In 1929 she fled with her parents to Ger- many to escape Soviet oppression and then em- igrated to Paraguay. She accepted Christ as Sav- iour at 14 and was bap - tized. She married Wilhelm Martens Jan. 7, 1939. In 1954 they moved to Winnipeg, where the North Kildonan MB Church became their spiritual home . She passed many spiritual and life values on to her children and grandchildren. Her life was orderly and prayerful, and she orga- nized wonderful family gatherings, often reciting a psalm she had recently memorized . Prede - ceased by Wilhelm and a great-granddaughter, she is moumed by sons Cornelius, Peter, William and Armin; daughters Adelheid Fast, Toni Dueck, Gerlinde Enns, Blondina Falk, Luise Sawatzky; 34 grandchildren; 45 great-grandchildren. The fu- neral was Nov. 10 at North Kildonan MB Church with George Klassen, Roland Marsch and William Martens ministering.
