ED R. KREHBIEL

Ed. R. Krehbiel, son of John R. and Elizabeth Albright Krehbiel, was born near Pretty Prairie, Kan. on March 14, 1903. He passed away on Friday, Sept. 8, 1972, at the South Hospital, Hutchinson, Kan. at the age of 69.

On March 31, 1918 he was baptized by Rev. J. J. Flickinger and became a member of the First Mennonite Church of Pretty Prairie and remained a faithful and active member until his death. Mr. Krehbiel graduated from Pretty Prairie High School in 1924 and attended Bethel College.

On July 21, 1927, he was married to Lena Graber, and they shared life's joys and sorrows for 45 years.

At the time of his passing he was secretary of Mennonite Mutual Aid Insurance for this area and was also serving as Clerk of Roscoe Township.

He leaves to mourn his departure his sons, Marlowe and wife Bernice of El Cajon, Calif.; Janver and wife Linda of Okemos, Mich.; a daughter Joleen and husband Joe Schrag of Topeka; and nine grandchildren. Also surviving are his sisters, Mrs. Anna Graber of Pretty Prairie and Mrs. Edna Goering of Rapid City, S. D.; his brothers, Herbert of Moundridge, John of Omaha, Neb., and Walter of Inman.
