• Eli T. Yoder, 86, of Hesston died Thursday, Sept. 14, at Bethel Deaconess Hospital after an extended illness. He was the husband of Ida Plank Yoder, writer of the "Through My Kitchen Window" column in the Review. A native of Lagrange County, Indiana, he moved to Missouri at the age of five and to Kansas in 1915. Mr. and Mrs. Yoder farmed in the Walton community for many years before retiring to Hesston in 1967. Surviving in addition to Mrs. Yoder are three sons, Arnold of Yoder, Colo., Lawrence and Vernon both of Newton; one daughter, Mrs. Ransom Stucky of Burrton; 16 grandchildren; one brother, Delos of Harper; and two sisters, Mrs. Amanda Kropf of Tampico, Ill. and Mrs. Ida Gerber of Hesston. The funeral was conducted Saturday forenoon at the Hesston Mennonite Church. Rev. John Duerksen presided and the funeral sermon was preached by Rev. Milo Kauffman.
