Prominent Reedley Businessman, Civic Leader Dies

Reedley, Calif. — Funeral services for Earl I. Eymann, 75, prominent Reedley businessman and civic leader, were held July 31 at the First Mennonite Church here. Rev. Leo Miller conducted the largely attended services.

Mr. Eymann died July 28 after suffering a heart attack at his office in Reedley.

A native of Moundridge, Kan., Mr. Eymann had lived in Reedley for 69 years. He was in business here most of his life, and for the past 30 years operated Eymann Real Estate. He was a former chairman of the Fresno County chairman of the Fresno County Planning Commission and of the California County Planning Commissioners Assn., and was a leader in various community projects and in county and regional YMCA activities for 55 years. He received the Pioneer Pre-eminent Award, the YMCA's highest award. He was also served on the board of Bethel College (Kansas).

Surviving are his widow, Meta; a son, Donald, of Los Angeles, two daughters, Mrs. Roland Stucky of Kingsburg and Mrs. Kenneth Just of Reedley; 10 grandchildren, two brothers and one sister.
