MRS. LIZZIE UNRUH

Mrs. Lizzie Unruh, a charter member of the Grace Mennonite Church, Enid, Okla., died Wednesday afternoon in an Enid hospital after a lengthy illness.

Funeral services were held at 2 p. m. Friday in the Grace Mennonite Church, with Rev. Victor E. Becker officiating.

Mrs. Unruh was born Oct. 19, 1896 in Marion County, Kansas. She came to Oklahoma as a child, settling with her parents at Ringwood where she was raised. She married Simon Unruh on Dec. 14, 1919 in the West New Hopedale Mennonite Church north of Enid, and they came to Enid in 1938. She was a member of the Ladies Mission Society in her church.

Survivors include her husband, Simon, of the home; two daughters, Mrs. A. L. (Myrtle) Becker, and Mrs. Bob (Norma) Shaw, both of Enid; four grandchildren; one great-grandchild; three brothers, Henry Becker of Ringwood, Dedrick Becker of Wellington, Kan., and Clarence Becker of Warren, Mich.; five sisters, Susie Kehn, Mary Jantz, and Nina Unruh, all of Enid, Martha Decker of Dalhart, Tex., and Hilda Kane, Hollywood, Calif. She was preceded in death by a son, Arthur, a granddaughter, two brothers, and one sister.
