DAVID R. DYCK

David Ralph DycK passed away May 29 He was born May 8 1933 in Burwalde Man. to John L an( Helena Dyck. At 16 h4 was baptized an< joined Winkler MI Church. He graduat ed from high schoo in Winkler and re o ceived his Bachelor of Science (1956) anc Bachelor of Education (1959) from the Uni· versity of Manitoba. He obtained his PhD ir History of Science from the University of Wis· consin in 1967. He taught at the University of Winnipeg for 30 years. He retired from the University in 1996. Following retire· ment, he was dean of Concord College, an d assisted in the creation of Canadian Men- nonite University. He also taught at Lithuania Christian College. He was a faithful member of River East MB Church, Winnipeg, where he taught Sunday school, served as modera- tor and sang in the choir. He also served the Manitoba MB Conference on the manage- ment and personnel committees. Whatever job he undertook, he always did it to the best of his ability. He is mourned by his wife, Roberta (MacNair); children James, Patricia and Michael; 5 brothers. The funeral was June 2 at River East MB Church.
