• Miss Louise A. Deckert, 63, sister of Harvey Deckert of Newton, died April 6 at Grisell Memorial Hospital, Ransom, Kan. She was a member of the First Mennonite Church of Ransom, where the funeral was conducted Saturday afternoon by the pastor, Rev. Garman Wedel. Miss Deckert was a registered nurse and nurse anesthetist. Beginning in 1953 she served as anesthetist in several hospitals in the Ransom area. From 1954 to 1963 she was superintendent of the Gristell [sic Grisell] Memorial hospital. She had been ill since early in 1971. Survivors include one sister and nine brothers.
