Italian Friend of MCC Work Called by Death

Doris and Bob Hammon of Lansdale, Pa. have forwarded to the Review the information that Mrs. Emilia Peyrot of Les Monnet, Luserna, San Giovanni, Torino, Italy died in October after a period of declining health complicated by a heart attack and pneumonia.

Mrs. Peyrot is remembered by many Mennonite and Brethren friends for her unselfish assistance following World War II when she gave of herself and her home for the promotion of the Christian witness through the Mennonite Central Committee work in the Waldensian valleys.

Mr. and Mrs. Hammon comment, "Her warm Christian spirit, hospitality and enthusiasm for the work of God's kingdom endeared her to many. His kingdom on earth lives through lives of service and dedication as exemplified by Mama Peyrot."
