Aulieata, Syrdarja Gebiet, 13 Januar 1913….

Am 27. Dez. v. J. starb die Gattin des Corn. Gooßen, früher Lindenau, Süd-Russland und wurde den 30. Dez. beerdigt. Sie lag nur 8 Tage krank darnieder, entschlief aber in gewisser Hoffnung und getrostem Glauben an ihren Erlöser. Ihre Kinder waren alle am Sarge, außer Corn. Gooßen, der älteste Sohn, der weilt in Corn. Oklahoma, N.-Amerika.

English translation:

Aulie Ata, Syr Darya district, 13 Jan. 1913…. The wife of Corn. Goossen, formerly of Lindenau, South Russia, died on Dec. 27 of the previous year, and was buried on Dec. 30. She lay ill for only 8 days, but passed away in certain hope and confident faith in her Saviour. Her children were all at the coffin, except Corn. Goossen, the eldest son, who lives in Corn, Oklahoma, North America.
