WILLIAM (BILL) J. WIEBE

William J. Wiebe died Jan . 25. He was born Oct. 10, 1910 to Ja- cob and Agnes Wiebe in Alexandrodar, Kuban, Russia. The family immigrated to Canada in 1925, set- tling in Manitou. He was a farm hand. He was baptized in 1932. He married Margaret Rempel Sept. 12, 1933. They moved to Black Creek, B.C in 1936, where he logged. In 1940 they moved to a dairy farm in East Chilliwack, B.C They were charter members of East Chilliwack MB Church. He was an usher, treasurer, caterer and council member. He was also a charter member and board member of East Chilliwack Co-op and East Chilliwack Credit Union. He also worked as an electrician. He enjoyed gardening and woodworking, teaching his grandchil- dren to use tools and equipment. Prede- ceased by Margaret in 1995, son Ed, 1 grandson, he is mourned by son Vic; daughter Wilma Stobbe; 6 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great- grandchildren; 1 brother. The funeral was Feb. 17 in Clearbrook MB Church, Ab- botsford, B. C.
