<h3PETER B. SCHROEDER

Peter B. Schroeder died Dec . 16. He was born Sept. 3, 1905 to Peter and Anna Schroeder in Muen- sterberg, Molotschna, south Russia . The fami- ly moved to Millerovo in 1914 and to Wohldemfurst, Kuban in 1919. He accepted Jesus as Saviour that year and was baptized into the MB Church in 1920. In April 1925 the family immigrated to Canada, settling in Plum Coulee, Man. Peter moved to Win- nipeg, then in 1932 settled on a farm in Elm Creek, Man. He married Elisabeth Wall Aug. 6, 1932. They were members of Elm Creek (Man.) MB Church. Peter taught Sunday school and sang in the choir. They retired to Clearbrook, B.C., joining Clearbrook MB Church. He sang in the German choir and served on committees. He had spiritual struggles and agreed with Isa . 43:24-25. They moved into Menno Home in 1992. In June 1993 Elisabeth died. A special spiritual experience in 1996 gave him great peace and joy. Predeceased by Elisabeth, 1 sister, 2 brothers, he is mourned by sisters Mary Wall, Annie Dick and Martha Hildebrandt of Win- nipeg; brothers Henry of Abbotsford and Corny of Winnipeg. The funeral was Dec. 22 in Clearbrook MB Church.
