JOHN PETER FRIESEN

John Peter Friesen died July 11. He was born Sept. 10, 1920 in War- man, Sask. He accepted Jesus during Vacation Bible School conducted by Jake Epp and Peter Fast in 1935. He spent several years in a Con- scientious Objectors Camp in Black Creek, B.C. He and several other men formed a quar- tet that served in churches in the area. He was baptized in 1946 near Warman and was a faithful member of Warman MB Church for 57 years. He attended Tabor Bible School in Dal- meny, Sask. where he also sang in a quartet. He taught Sunday school, was Sunday school superintendent, treasurer, song leader and in singing groups. He loved farming and ani- mals. He liked to be well-dressed with suit and tie for any occasion . He married Sara Balzer Aug . 7, 1976. They sang together and trav- elled. He was predeceased by brother Harry; he is mourned by Sara, brother Jack; sisters Katherine Kargut, Helen Friesen, Anne Baerg, Elizabeth Fisher and Margaret O'Neill. The fu- neral was July 16 in Bergthaler Mennonite Church, Warman.
