JESSIE KOEHN

Jessie Koehn died May 10. She was born Sept. 15, 1903 to John and Katrina Leiding in Germany. Her mother died when Jessie was 3, leaving her in the care of relatives. At age 15 she was taken to Russia where she found work. She married Abe Koehn Jan. 10, 1923. She accepted the Lord in 1924. They immigrated to Niverville, Man. in 1926 where they worked on a farm. In 1945 the family moved to Yarrow, B.C. They were baptized and joined Yarrow MB Church in 1946. She was a hard worker, gardening, house cleaning, sewing and teaching her daughters. Abe died in 1968. She moved to Tabor Home, Abbotsford, B.C. in 1996. Predeceased by an infant son, Abe, 1 granddaughter, 1 great-grandson, she is mourned by daughters Jessie Guenther, Freda Heinrich, Betty Classen , Mary Funk, Tina Koehn, Maggie Braun, Carol Koehn, Nita Neuman, Lori Dyck, 21 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren, 10 great-great-grandchildren.
