RITA MARTICHENCKO

Rita Marlene Mar- tichenko died july 22. She was born February 1942 to Alex and Vel- ma Dell in Foam Lake, Sask. She attended Briercrest Bible College, Caron port, Sask. and Regina Teachers' Col- lege, receiving her BA from the University of Saskatchewan in 1974. She married Ed Mar- tichenko in 1967. She taught in Regina and Arelee, Sask. She accepted jesus at 11 and led others to the same decision. She lived her faith on a daily basis and practised more than preached. She was a compassionate and un- derstanding friend. She taught community Bible clubs and Sunday school, and worked on the Biggar and District Home Care board and on the Saskatchewan Home Care Associ- ation Community and Member Relations Committee. Her hobbies and interests includ- ed reading, birdwatching, gardening, field work, cycling, swimming, travelling, sewing and making quilts for world relief. She is mourned by Ed; her parents; 1 brother.
