GEORGE HEZEKIAH NICKLIN

George Nicklin died July 12. He was born in Vancouver Mar. 15, 1940 to William and Shirley Nicklin. He grew up in Merritt, B.C. His father died when George was 14 and at 16 he began working to support his mother and younger siblings. He was a heavy duty mechanic for the Dept. of Highways. He also worked in a service station and an electronics store, and then was maintenance man at Cariboo Bethel Church, Williams Lake B.C., for 19 years. He had a talent for fixing things. He married Eve Rogalsky in 1966. He accepted the Lord in 1979 and served in the church as PA operator, Boys Brigade leader and elder. He booked many events in the church for the community, thereby making people feel welcome. Health was an ongoing problem and he received a liver transplant in 1999. He enjoyed coffee and lunches with friends and sunrises from his patio. He is mourned by Eve, son Peter; daughter Mary Jeanne; 5 grandchildren; 1 brother; 1 sister. The funeral was July 17 at Cariboo Bethel Church.
