ANNE WIEBE
Anne Wiebe di ed Aug. 12. She was born Apr. 1, 1923 to Henry and Justina Poettker in Uk rain e. The family im- migrated to Can ada in 1925 and settled in Ontario in th e lat e 1920s. An ne left ho me at 13 to work as a do- mestic in Ha mi l ton. She accept ed the Lord in her yout h and was a member of United Mennonite Church, Port Rowan, Ont. She married Nick Wiebe Oct. 27, 1946 after wa it ing 4 years f or him to re- turn from the war. Nick died in 1988. Anne volunteered at Po rt Rowan MCC Thrift Shop, NorfoJk General Hospital Gi ft Shop and ot h- er community organizations. She h ad a large circle of f ri ends and was known as a great cook, a committed friend and a godly woman who loved and cared for her fam il y. She attended Port Rowan MB Church. Pre- deceased by Nick, 1 grandson, 2 brot hers, she is mourned by sons Larry and Bi ll of Po rt Rowan; daughter Ca rolyn of Simcoe, Ont.; 10 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren; 1 sister; 2 brothers. The funeral was Aug. 14 in Port Rowan MB Church.
