SUSANNA KASDORF

Susanna Kasdorf died Apr. 15. She was born to Wilhelm and Justina Unruh Sept. 1 7, 1911 in Glyaden, Siberia. When she was 10, her father died of typhus. She married Peter Kas- dorf at 17. They emi- grated to Morden, Man., where they farmed. In 1950 they sold their farm and moved to Niverville, Man. They accepted Je- sus, were baptized and joined Morden MB Church. Later they transferred to Niverville MB Church. Rheumatic fever in her early 40s left her with a chronic heart condition. Glaucoma left her virtually blind in her final years. She en- joyed work on the farm, gardening, knitting, crocheting and quilting (for her family and MCC). She is remembered as a strong, stoic woman who loved God, her family and friends. Predeceased by Peter, son Corny, 2 grandsons, 5 brothers and 3 sisters, she is mourned by sons John and Frank of Winnipeg, Henry, Jake and Abe of Niverville, and Peter of Langley; daughters Jessie Martens of Win- nipeg, Anne Neufeld of Steinbach, Man., He- len Koslowsky, Frieda Loeppky, Linda Loeppky and Betty of Niverville, Susan Martens of Ab- botsford, B.C., Mary Loeppky of Kelowna, B.C. and Hilda of Florida; 42 grandchildren; 56 great-grandchildren; 1 sister; 1 brother. The funeral was Apr. 19 in Fourth Ave. Bible Church, Niverville, with Rick McCorkindale, Ewald Unruh and Mary Dyck ministering.
