HELEN SORGE

Helen Sorge of Abbots- ford, S.C died Mar. 19. .......riIl She was born Feb. 20, 1931 to Abram and Louise Dyck in ~Q~~f.I Filadelfia, Paraguay. She received Jesus as her Saviour, was bap- tized Apr. 22, 1946 and joined the MS church. "-__...J-";::";:"-L_-' She came to Mission, S.C with her family Dec. 25, 1950. She worked in Vancouver. She married Emil Sorge Oct. 18, 1953. They bought a house in south Vancouver in 1955, and retired to Clearbrook in 1981. Helen was known for her beautiful rose gardens and loved to cook and bake . She volunteered at the Community Centre and at church, serving on the funeral catering com- mittee and caring for the flowers outside the church building. After a series of strokes, she moved to Tabor Home. Predeceased by Emil in 1996 and a brother in infancy, she is mourned by son Karl; daughter Rita Steuart; 7 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; 1 sister; 1 brother. The memorial service was Mar. 24 in Clearbrook MS Church with Walter Wiens and Heinz Ratzlaff ministering.
