Mrs. Sara D. Kroeker, 86, Diers (sic) in McPhehson (sic)

Mrs. Sara D. Kroeker, 86, who came to the States from Russia when she was two years old and lived in the Inman community most of her life, died at 5:55 a. m. Monday, May 11 at the McPherson Hospital.

Mrs. Kroeker was born on July 26, 1872 at Sparau, South Russia, daughter of Davie (sic) and Sara Thiessen Woelk. She was married to Henry D. Kroeker at Inman on Oct. 2, 1892. Mr. Kroeker died on March 30, 1942. She was a member of the Zoar KMB Church near Inman.

Survivors include four daughters, Miss Margaret Kroeker, Miss Helen Kroeker and Miss Anna Kroeker, all of Inman, and Mrs. Sara Kroeker, Inman, four sons, Jake Kroeker, Buhler; Pete Kroeker, Conway; Henry Kroeker, Dinuba, Calif., and George W. Kroeker, Inman; four grandchildren and two great grandchildren; three sisters. Mrs. A. E. Klassen, Fredonia, and Miss Gertrude Doerksen and Miss Justina Doerksen, both of McPherson; and one brother, Jacob T. Doerksen, McPherson.

Funeral services were held Thursday, May 14, at 2 p. m. at the Zoar Church with Rev. Arnold Enz and Rev. D. C. Pauls officiating. Burial was at the Zoar Cemetery.
