• Mr. and Mrs. James Posar Jr. and family of Norman, Okla. were visitors in this area the past weekend, having been called here by the death of Mrs. Posar's mother, Mrs. Joseph Loucks of Hesston. The funeral was conducted Sunday afternoon at the Spring Valley Mennonite Church near Canton, with Rev. James Hershberger officiating. Mrs. Loucks, the former Clara Bitikofer, was a native of Holmes County, Ohio and came to the Canton community in 1900. She died Aug. 21 at Schowalter Villa in Hesston. Surviving are her husband, of Schowalter Villa; four other daughters, Mrs. Clyde Jantz of Hesston, Mrs. Glenn Cox of Albany, Ore., Mrs. Jesse Diener of Canton, and Mrs. Orville Stutzman of Hesston; 22 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren; and one sister, Mrs. Frances Stoltzfus of Newton.
