— Mrs. August (Lydia) Schroeder 71, lifelong resident of the Hillsboro and Goessel communities died Monday evening at the Bethesda Hospital in Goessel. She and her husband farmed near Goessel until their retirement four years ago. He died in 1967, after which she entered the Bethesda Home. Surviving are sons Allen V. and Clayton H. of Route 2, Hillsboro, and Reuben Ray of Aurora, Colo., one daughter, Mrs. Richard Rempel of Lakewood, Colo.; two grandchildren and two half-sisters. The funeral was conducted Wednesday afternoon at the Goessel Mennonite Church with Rev. Henry Goossen officiating. Miller Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
