WILLIAM F. BRAUN

William F. Braun passed away Ma y 10, 2002. He was born March 29, 1924 to Frank and Aganetha Br aun near Herbert, Sask. He was energetic, always run- ning to his next activity. Gifted with a creative, inquisitive mind, he collected spools and paper to make his own inventions. He ac- cepted the Lord in his early teen s and was baptized. He studied 3 years at Herbert Bible School. He married Elma Penner. They farmed until 1976, then moved into Herbert. He taught Sunday school and served as a deacon in Herbert MB Church . Later they joined the Gideons. He enjoyed fishing, reading and tr avelling, making over 20 trips to the so uthern US . He stayed involved with the farm as much as h ea lth would allow. He whistled spontaneously and enjoyed his mornin gs with friends at New Hori zo ns Cen- tre. He was a man of few words but deep thoughts and evident wisdom. He had a pas- sion for his family, sitting on the floor to re- late to the grandchildren. He faced hea lth challenges bravely and left a l ega cy of hon- esty, integrity and generosity. Predec ease d by 1 si ste r, he is mourned by Elma; children judy, Phyllis, Darryl, and Sandra; 11 grand- children; 3 great-grandchildren; and 3 brothers. Th e funeral wa s M ay 14 in Herbert MB Church, with Corny Braun and Ed Schmidt ministering.
