— Funeral services for Mrs. Esther E. Bass, 60, were held April 22 in the Sister Frieda Chapel, with Rev Earl Mann of the Immanuel Baptist Church officiating. Mrs. Bass died sometime during the April 18 -19 weekend at her mobile home in the Newton Trailer Court, her body being found there on Sunday. The former Esther Sperling of Inman she was employed as a nurse aid at Friendly Acres in Newton. Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Paul Stucky of Newton, five grandchildren, two brothers and one sister.
