HENRY JOHN DYCK

Henry john Dyck passed aw ay Oct. 3. He w as born j an. 29, 1911 to John and Eliz- abeth Dyck in Gr uen - fe ld , Russia . The f am ily immigrated to Manito- ba in 1927. At 19, he became a Chr is t ian and joined an MB '---"-'-~ house church in south- ern Manitoba. He married Katie Braun in 1933. In 1941 they moved to Ontario. He farmed near St. Catharines and lat er Queen- ston . They joined Virgil MB Church; he taught Su n day school, served as youth leader and was on the chu rch board. In 1956 they moved to St. Catharines and estab- lished a construction company. They joined Scott St . MB Church and later Fairview M B Church. He was a member of the Gideons, se rving as treasurer of the memorial fun d for 25 yea rs. In 1992 he moved to Tabor Manor, St. Ca thar ines . Predece ased by 1 grand- daughter, he is mourned by Kati e; children Lynn Regier, Esther Dueck, Helmuth, and Irma Ruth; 9 g ran dchild ren; 10 great-grand- children and 4 great-great-grandchildren. The fu n eral was Oc t. 5 at Fairview MB Chu rch, with Wa ldo Pauls ministering.
