Staff Member At Children's Home Dies After Brief Illness

Henderson, Neb. — Funeral services were held at the E. M. B Church here Saturday forenoon for Rev. Robert Edgar Brown, 47 who had been on the staff of Grace Children's Home here since 1964. Rev. Leonard Ewert officiated at the service.

Rev. Brown died unexpectedly March 24 at Lincoln General Hospital where he had been a patient for five days. He underwent an appendectomy the day before his death, and appeared to be making a satisfactory recovery.

Rev. and Mrs. Brown had been serving as houseparents at the children’s home, and he was also managing editor of the home’s paper, the Messenger. He formerly served for two years as pastor of the E. M. B. Church at Jansen, Neb.

Survivors in addition to the widow include three children, all of the home.
