Funeral services for Leo M. Burkett, 71, of Hesston were held Thursday afternoon, March 23, at the Hesston Mennonite Church. Rev. Peter Wiebe, the pastor, officiated. Mr. Burkett died March 20 at Bethel Deaconess Hospital. He was a native of Kansas City, Kan. and lived there until moving to Hesston in 1959. he was formerly employed at Hesston Corp., retiring in 1965. Surviving are his widow, the former Dorothy Troyer; two sons, James and David, both of Newton; one daughter, Mrs. James (Mary) Friesen of Edmond, Okla.; three grandchildren; and one sister, Mrs. Gladys Carr of Tillamook, Ore.
