RICHARD BARTEL

Richard Bartel of Lethbridge, Alta. passed away on October 25, 1979. He was born to Rudolph and Bertha Bartel in Leonof, Poland on January 15. 1931. As a teenager he accepted Christ as his personal Saviour. His family left for Germany in 1944, and in 1948 they immigrated to Canada, to the Lethbridge area. Except for a few years in Calgary. he has lived in Lethbridge since. He was baptized and joined the Coaldale Mennonite Brethren Church in June 1950. On July 22, 1956 he married,: Agnes Dyck in Calgary. He is survived by his wife Agnes; sons Rudy and Ken; mother Bertha Bartel; brothers Ron of Winnipeg and Edward of Lethbridge; and sisters Hilda (Mrs. Walter) Engel of Calgary and Minna (Mrs. David) Wilkins of Clearbrook. B.C. The funeral was held on October 29 in the Coaldale Church, with pastor Rudy Heidebrecht in charge.
