• Otto G. Warkentin, 65, well-known Newton businessman, died March 29 at Bethel Deaconess Hospital after an extended illness. He was a member of the Bethel College Church, where the funeral was conducted Friday afternoon by the pastor, Rev. Russell Mast. Mr. Warkentin had been engaged in the shoe business in Newton for 46 years, and for 38 years had operated Ott's Bootery here. Surviving are his widow, the former Lena Kessler of Lehigh; one son, Gary, who was associated with his father in the shoe business; two grandchildren; two brothers and two sisters.
