MRS. KATHERINE PETERS

Katharina Peters of Vancouver passed away on December 25. She was born on November 11, 1906 to John and Maria (Warkentin) Epp in Ufa, Russia. In 1926 her family immigrated to Canada via Mexico, settling in the Rosthern, Sask. area. On January 8, 1928 she married George J. Peters, and the couple farmed at Glenbush, Sask. In 1939 the family moved to Green dale, B.C., in 1956 to Chilliwack and in 1959 to Vancouver. She accepted Christ as her Saviour and was baptized as a young girl. She is survived by her children: John and wife Ann, Irene and husband Don, Agnes and husband Eric, Adolph and wife lone and Sally and husband Ken; 10 grandchildren and t wo great-grandchildren; and one brother. The funeral was held December 28 at the Fraserview MB Church, Richmond, B.C., with pastor Loyal Funk officiating.
